Bright and cheery, with lovely layers of yellow and pink, this floral work of art is an original acrylic and pastel painting on canvas, framed by the artist in a natural wood frame. Ready to hang, with a certificate of authenticity on the back.

These larger originals have layer upon layer (sometimes as many as 10+) of paint and pastel, adding dimension and depth to the final piece. Painted from a live bouquet (sometimes several…. depending on the mood of the artist!) Amanda’s desire in her floral work is to break down the original shape of the flowers into their most abstract, simplistic (and beautiful) forms. As a lover of bright colors, she aims to use shades and tones that vibrate against each other and hopefully – enhances the mood of the viewer. Pastel is used to loosely sketch each flower, a practice that is both freeing for the artist, and which ultimately creates movement in the final, finished work. Taking hard-earned themes from her own life, Amanda hopes she can inspire others to find the beauty and joy in the chaos and imperfect of our days.

Each work of art is varnished for protection, but it’s always best to keep original artwork out of direct sunlight.
